Mr. Murphy has represented numerous financial institutions in various types of asset-based production loans and oil and gas loan workouts and restructures. He also maintains a general banking and corporate practice. Mr. Murphy is board certified in oil, gas and mineral law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Murphy is a frequent speaker at local oil and gas groups. Mr. Murphy was associated with the law firm of Andrews & Kurth in Houston, Texas from 1982 to 1984, where he was a member of that firm's oil and gas section. In 1984, Mr. Murphy became associated with Haynes and Boone and was elected partner in 1990.
